At St. John the Baptist Kambuga Parish, Fr. Paul Ssemogerere, C.S.Sp., led a compassionate pastoral outreach dedicated to the elderly in our community. The visit was marked by the following heartwarming activities:
-
Home Visits to the Elderly – Fr. Paul Ssemogerere, C.S.Sp., personally visited several elderly parishioners in their homes, offering a comforting presence and listening ear.
-
Sharing of Prayers and Blessings – Each visit was filled with prayer, Scripture reading, and individual blessings, reminding our elders of God’s unfailing love.
-
Holy Communion for the Homebound – Those unable to attend Mass received the Holy Eucharist, uniting them spiritually with the parish community.
-
Encouraging Words and Fellowship – Fr. Paul Ssemogerere, C.S.Sp., spent time talking with the grandparents, encouraging them in faith and affirming their place in the life of the Church.
-
Offering of Sacrament of Reconciliation – For those who wished, the priest also administered the Sacrament of Confession, bringing spiritual healing and renewal.
This initiative brought great joy and spiritual nourishment to our elderly members, reminding them that they remain an essential part of our parish family. We thank Fr. Paul Ssemogerere, C.S.Sp., for this inspiring act of pastoral love.
