LIBERMANN CHILDREN’S ACADEMY

The Congregation of the Holy Spirit in Uganda started a new project  in the name of Libermann Children’s Academy which will provide affordable basic education, shelter, food, clothing, and rehabilitation to the disadvantaged children and ensure that they can have a better future. The school is constructed at Jjanda, Namugongo, a historical community in Uganda which is close to the Namugongo Memorial Shrine commonly known for hosting Martyrs Day celebrations every year on 3rd June in Uganda. Libermann Children’s Academy will have classroom facilities, a modern children library, children play center and modern children dormitories among other facilities to enable the children appreciate the learning environment.

Libermann Children’s Academy hopes to provide religious teachings to impact on the children’s behaviors, actions and code of conduct, improve the literacy levels of less privileged children, reduce on the number of street children within the urban centers of Uganda, reduce in literacy discrimination against all young boys and girls in Uganda and a generation built on religious norms among beneficiary communities.

With that background, the Spiritans in Uganda decided to answer the call of evangelization through education by constructing a school named after our founder Libermann. The construction kicked off in 2018 with the main classroom block which is now complete. Construction of the dinning block, kitchen and VIP toilets is complete  and construction of the dormitory is underway.
