Mulago Catholic Parish is under Kampala Archdiocese and it was founded in 1954 by Rev. Fr. John Ssemanda (RIP). The location of Mulago is situated as s suburb of Kampala City in Kawempe division. It is also characterized by slums. The Spiritans came to Fr. Nicholas Mumbi Kerebba Mulago in 1983 and the pioneer were Frs. George Crocenzi, CSSp (RIP) and Anthony Darragh, CSSp. The late Emmanuel Cardinal Nsubuga received these missionaries as a way of resolving the conflicts among the Clergy and the Laity at that time. Consequently, many Spiritan Confrere have served and contributed to the development of the Parish hence, we extend a vote of thanks to them. Since then the Parish has undergone tremendous changes and development.
So far, it has given birth to two Parishes namely; Holy Trinity Kamwokya Parish and St. Peter Kanyanya. The development can be seen in terms of socio-structural and Spiritual and human development. Currently, the Parish consists of four Sub- Parishes; Mulago Central, St. Thomas Aquinas Kyebando, Uganda matyrs Kavule and St. Jude Thaddeus Wandegeya. And it is served by three Confreres namely; Fr. Nicholas Kerebba , CSSp (Pp).,Fr.Vicent Kafumba, CSSp, and Fr Peter Anthony Mulyanga, CSSp.
